We are looking for a Senior Client Accountant to lead the Client Accounts team, ensuring all accounting functions are carried out accurately, efficiently, and on schedule. This includes the preparation of statutory annual accounts, managed accounts, and other client reporting for client entities.
The role also involves ensuring timely regulatory filings and maintaining high standards of client service. In addition, the role has direct responsibility for managing the Client Accounts team, including setting objectives, monitoring performance, and supporting development.
The position provides oversight and support across the wider Operations team and works closely with the Head of Operations to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct line management to the Client Accounts team
- Set clear objectives and performance expectations
- Conduct performance reviews and appraisals
- Monitor workload, utilisation, and capacity
- Process Accounting Transactions.
- Collect, analyse and interpret accounting records for bookkeeping purposes.
- Preparation and filing of financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Reconcile bank accounts, valuations and accounting records for designated client accounts.
- Support client facing colleagues with accounting matters
- Ensure receipt of all clients signed financial statements that have been completed by third parties
- Other financial reporting as required
- Tax/FATCA/CRS
- Assist with the preparation of client tax returns, including ATED, Guernsey Tax Returns, UK Tax Returns and other territories
- Support with the preparation of the FATCA/CRS report
Experience and Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3-5 years accounting experience.
- Ideally a relevant professional qualification (AAT/ACCA or similar).
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of Acumen or similar beneficial.
- Strong communication, accounting / analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Work under pressure, independently, effectively prioritise, manage time & workload to meet clients’ needs.
- Proactive, motivated, team player with a flexible attitude to complete additional tasks.
